Firearm Transfer Service
Pursuant to Virginia HB 1525, we will not transfer an assault style long gun to anyone under 21.
“At this time we do not conduct NFA transfers”
Storage fees: 10 days After being contacted that your transfer is here, A $5 per day charge will be added to transfer charge. We are open to making arrangements if it is not possible to make it within a 10 day period.
If no communication has been made after our initial contact, for 30 days, the firearm will be considered abandoned. XTS will absorb the inventory or return to sender. Witch ever scenario applies best. If the firearm was bought from us, no refund will be issued. If bought from a seller other than us, The refund will be issued/disputed between you and them.
Transfer Fee to be changed to $45. This includes facilitating a shipment out to an FFL. Shipments out will be handled on Mondays and Thursdays. Will not accept transfers from private individuals. FFL transfers only.
When You Need a Transfer
A firearm transfer is required when you purchase a firearm from:
- An online retailer
- A private seller located in another state
- Another FFL dealer shipping a firearm to you
In these cases, the firearm must be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL) like XTS Armory before it can be transferred to the buyer.
How the Transfer Process Works
1. Purchase Your Firearm
Buy your firearm from an online retailer or another dealer and select XTS Armory in Warrenton, VA as the receiving FFL.
2. Seller Ships the Firearm
The seller must ship the firearm directly to our licensed facility. If the seller requires our FFL license, they can contact us at: 📧 xtsarmory@xts-inc.com
3. Schedule Your Pickup Appointment
Once the firearm arrives, we will notify you to schedule your transfer appointment. All transfers are by appointment only. 📧 xtsarmory@xts-inc.com
4. Complete Required Paperwork
During your appointment you will:
- Complete ATF Form 4473
- Present a valid government-issued photo ID
- Undergo a Virginia State Police background check
5. Transfer Completion
Once the background check is approved and paperwork is completed, the firearm will be legally transferred to you.
6. A state SP-65 background form is also filled out.
Requirements for Pickup
ID: If a P.O. box is on license, please reach out to xtsarmory@xts-inc.com to verify validity of a secondary from of ID with current physical address on it.
Out of state residents may purchase long guns only. (As your state law permits) and we will need two forms of ID, both with home address listed and matching exactly.

Important Notes
- Firearms must be shipped from an FFL dealer or legally authorized sender.
- All transfers are subject to federal and Virginia firearm laws.
- If a background check is denied, the firearm must be returned to the original seller.
